Reinforced fiberglass and aluminum alloy 6060.
Fiberglass is appreciated in the avionics sector for its transparency at radio frequencies and its good frangibility.
In addition to gluing, mechanical fixings are possible using bolts or structural rivets.
The material can be painted (if required according to ICAO standards) even if it does not require specific protection against corrosion.
To ensure control of the welding process, we at Fedco srl have the following functions:
NDT internal qualified personnel II level, in accordance with the UNI EN 473 European standard or US SNT-TC-1A standard for VT, PT and MT.
For volumetric controls, UT and RT, external suppliers specialized in NDT have been qualified.
